This comes from vineyards in the up and coming Sonoma coast region. It has a nutty, slightly smoky finish thanks to ageing in French oak barriques. This is a smooth, fruity and warming Reserve Port made from organically grown grapes in the Douro Valley, where the hot dry weather is conducive to organic farming. It is sturdy and characterful in a rich ruby reserve style, with flavours of blueberry, cherry and plum. Enjoy with blue cheeses. In The Press: "This is wonderfully focused and almost vinous, with dense, spicy dark cherry and plum fruit showing lovely purity and good structure.
